We think about the near future
because the future is closer than it seems.
OUR
CREDO
A better near future
We believe in a better future and are always thinking about what’s best for your business, but above all, for people. Our thinking and analysis are focused on what’s best for your consumers.
OUR AREA
OF EXPERTISE
The early market
We hunt for tendencies that point to nascent market dynamics that have not yet come into companies’ purview – markets in early stages of development. We are experts at detecting these emerging habits that can approach with the force of an ocean wave so that you can make effective business decisions about what to adjust to ensure your pre-eminence in years to come.
OUR
PLAYBOOK
At Leonardo1452 we live in the near future.
As Trendhunters we are continually attentive to evolving societal beliefs and values with the potential to trigger a new trend. We observe the behavior of early adopters and trend catalysts who are changing the rules of the game for industries and who can amplify a trend.

Gaby is an MBA accredited marketeer, with over 20 years experience working in Advertising Agencies such as Leo Burnett Mexico, Bassat Ogilvy Barcelona and Publicis Mexico as Account Manager and Head of the Planning Department.
Author of the book Near Future Thinking. A work that raises a new discipline: looking to the near future. Near Future Thinking is based on understanding how consumer trends are gestated, developed, and amplified and that sometimes take companies by surprise.
In 2009 she founded Leonardo1452, a trendhunting boutique based in Mexico City. Its reports have been a key tool for innovation for global and local agencies and companies such as Google, Mondeléz, Nestlé France and Mexico, Kellogg, Sanofi, among others.
In 2013, knowing that companies and agencies in Central and South America were eager to learn how to spot a local consumer trend, Gaby decided to expand Leonardo1452’s horizons and started training marketing, media and advertising professionals in the region on how to observe the early markets in their own country. In 2015 Leonardo1452 began training executives in Barcelona and Madrid as well.
As founder and CEO of her own company, Gaby stays close to the entrepreneurial community, actively participating in different networks as a colleague, speaker and advisor.
Gaby is the creator of the methodology Near Future Thinking © that helps brands how to spot a trend and guides companies through a four archetype model so brands can correctly position themselves in the market.
She is the voice of Leonardo1452’s podcast available on Spotify where she discusses Near Future Thinking © scenarios that companies must be aware of.
Gaby regularly speaks at conferences in Europe and across Latin America. She co-founded and served as President for the Account Planning Group of Mexico.
She has lived, studied and worked in Austin, Texas, Barcelona and Mexico City, where she learnt to easily adapt and understand different cultures and markets in a very short time.
Communicologist by academic training, TrendHunter from the heart.
I really like talking to people, eating desserts and using my imagination and creativity in my work and daily life. “Solve” is one of my talents.
I usually ask a lot because I think that everyone we meet has something new to teach us regardless of the topic, so I imagine being a sponge for life that absorbs those learnings. I love to learn.
I always dreamed of a job that would keep me active and every day at Leonardo1452 represents a new adventure, I certainly enjoy being part of this team.
Publicist, with most of my career dedicated to creative areas and innovation. I realized that today’s creative is no longer the same as before and I began to be a hybrid with the strategic area trying to use the two hemispheres of the brain, with a focus on digital, content and branding. Today, Trendhunter with Leonardo1452.
With a special taste for food, urban, brands, content, and creativity, I have my eye on what breaks the mold but also on what triggers strong feelings. Curiosity didn’t kill the cat, it just opened up the perspective.
I have worked in advertising for 16 years, throughout my career I have been part of creative and strategic teams forming a profile that always seeks inspiration. I am a nerd at heart, a fan of research and analysis, which is why in Leonardo1452 and Trendhunting’s work, I have found a great passion to analyze the near future of sociocultural, political and economic behaviors.
Vegan by conviction, proud mom, feminist, and lover of everything that can turn my senses on, music, cinema, art, yoga, astrology, etc.
One of the first memories I have of my life is to play dolls and put them to buy and sell things between them. At some point, I started to make them travel and explore. Without realizing it, I stopped using dolls and started doing it myself.
That is, in short, my life, constant traveling and exploring where I enjoy making or watching people buy and sell.
Such is my passion for this that I have moved from cities and countries repeatedly. 16 cities, 6 countries, 2 continents … Mexico, the United States, France, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom, to be more precise.
Currently, I reside in London where I have come to specialize in Luxury Retail and where I also seek to expand my professional experience in Electronic Commerce.
In my spare time, I take theater classes, I go to the theater and every once in a while, I have to confess, I satisfy that need/taste to buy myself one more pair of shoes.
Proud of my Mexican heritage and from a marketing background, I have been analysing the international Wellness market for more than 18 years. My professional history began at the Publicis Group and Grey Worldwide ad agencies in Mexico City, advising brands on food, beverages and personal care. Years later, in 2012, I co-founded (with Gaby Arriaga) the first Mexican trendhunting boutique in Latin America – Leonardo1452 ©. There I continued to collaborate with multinational companies such as Discovery Channel, Televisa, Bayer, Heinz, Liverpool, Vasconia, Pepsico, Nestlé, Kelloggs and P&G, among others, who were looking for new trends in Wellness.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND WITH THE MICROPHONE IN HAND
Additionally in 2015, I discovered my passion as a conference speaker by sharing the knowledge I have accumulated over the years, as well as new theories in Wellness Marketing. Furthermore, I have remained close to the entrepreneurial ecosystem and the commercial sector, which is why I have been a mentor in Startup Weekend Mexico City, part of the TEDxMexicoCity Advisory Council and a beachhead for the New Zealand Government Office of Commerce.
WELLNESS MARKETING
These are the reasons why I decided that it was time to take advantage of my knowledge about the way in which the consumer approaches Wellness. I dedicated myself to gathering and organising everything I had learned and accumulated over the years, and founded The Wellness Analysta; where I merge my expertise to support companies and organisations that need to understand the new directions within this dynamic category.
Based in Madrid, where I work supporting multinational and independent brands in the world of Wellness.
More than 10 years of experience in the automotive industry in Mexico and France in areas such as Marketing and distribution.
Passionate about learning new cultures, I have had the opportunity to work with international teams in Latin America, Europe, India, and Russia.
I love to travel, see new places and observe people, customs and above all what is different from where I live. Photography is another of my passions.
I started my career in Mexico, working on events and marketing for companies of different sizes in industries such as executive education, publishing, and business consulting. In 2013, I moved to Sweden to a small city located in the north called Umea with my husband to challenge us professionally. There I have the opportunity to lead the reopening of the local AIESEC office and continue to cultivate internationalization and leadership among university students in the city. Additionally, I actively participate in different non-profit organizations and initiatives aimed at the inclusion of foreign talent in Swedish society.
In 2017, my entrepreneurial spirit is awakened again and I begin to work in my social entrepreneurship calling Powered by Women to show entrepreneurship as a range of opportunities for foreign women living in Sweden. Currently, I reside in Stockholm where I hunt trends related to entrepreneurship, gender equality, and foreign mobility.
In my spare time, I teach dance classes for children ages 2-5 and adults as a certified Zumba Fitness instructor for a local gym.
